Look at how and why China developed into the world's primary toy manufacturing hub;
Address how China’s vastly improved economic position changes how we should look at China in terms of toy manufacturing programs;
Examine alternative sourcing hubs in other countries around the world;
Address the impact of the conflict in the Middle-East/Red Sea; and
Illustrate the challenges ahead for managing sourcing and how to build a robust supply chain in changing times.

Steve Reece, managing director: Toy Team Asia/Kids Brand Insight
Steve Reece is a long-term toy & game business veteran entering the toy business around the turn of the current millennium. He worked for Hasbro in market research, brand marketing, and commercial functions, before heading up a successful new business startup for Hasbro. After this time Steve went on an exhilarating startup journey from $0 to building an established multi-million dollar player in the market. Since 2011, Steve has worked via his ventures: Toy Team Asia & Kids Brand Insight to offer consultancy services to companies of all sizes in the toy industry. He has played some role in working with the sourcing operations of six out of10 of the world’s biggest toy companies, played a key role in India’s growth in the toy manufacturing sector (including two years as a non-executive director for India’s biggest toy factory group), and has worked across global geographies helping clients find qualified and compliant suppliers.
